Rivals.com partners with Yahoo! Sports

Rumored for months Yahoo gobbles up Rivals.com for a reported $100 million.
Partnering with Yahoo! will help us build the next generation of Rivals’ products and services for hardcore and casual sports fans, and allow us to reach an entirely new fan base (after all, Yahoo! is the most-visited site on the Internet).

The move is intended to bolster Yahoo’s position as an online destination for sports fans, where it competes with ESPN.com, Foxsports. com and others.
