Preliminary hearing set for Douglas Kaiser

Alton SaceauxPreliminary hearing for 67 year-old Douglas Kaiser will be on Sept. 10, 2009 and if you can go this will show the Judge that the community is watching and demanding justice in the death of Alton Saceaux, who was hit and killed on his bike in late June.

Kaiser who initially fled the scene with no remorse, but returned and was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence causing death and hit-and-run causing death, is now fighting for his life in court.

Kaiser has hired a experienced and expensive criminal defense attorney, H.A. Sala. Kaiser is sparing no expense in the hopes to get off.

The more people that come in support of Alton and his family the better. Kaiser has pleaded Not Guilty and is contesting his 0.10 blood alcohol content. It is illegal to drive a motor vehicle in California with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more.

If you’re in Bakersfield on Sept. 10th please consider attending the preliminary hearing in support of Alton Saceaux family and friends. The show of support will speak volumes.

Please note, Alton was planning on riding the Amtrak Century on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 two days after the preliminary hearing. Due to Kaiser’s irresponsibility Alton will not be riding.
