More details on Alton
I can’t stop thinking about Alton today. I did a Google search on “Alton Saceaux” and ran across a few other news reports and other people, like me, who have been touched by Alton’s outgoing personalty.
From blogger Kevin…

Alton Saceaux killed by suspected drunken driver →
Talking with my brother the incident time of 10:43 p.m. doesn’t sound right. Close friends of Alton said he never rides this late. His full-time job also requires him to get up real earlier and it doesn’t add up that he would be out riding. I suspect the time of death and time of incedent is being mixed up in the news report.
Update: BakersfieldNow.com reports the incident was...

'09 Palomar Challenge
Last Saturday I rode the Palomar Challenge for the second time. My goal was to beat last years time of 1:02:37. I was able to gain six minutes on my ‘08 time and recording a 55:12 (5th) in the timed portion of the ride. I’m happy with the time, but realize I have more work to do if I want to get under 50 minutes. The winner Rick Bienias, who rides with the SD Descenders bike club,...
