MLB puts restrictions on content →
SportBusiness Journal reports that MLB Advanced Media will follow the NFL and imposes restrictions for online content starting this season. Not only will MLB impose restrictions on video, like the NFL, but they’ll go a step further and clamp down on photos.

NFL.com Scouting Combine Widget →
The NFL.com is really getting it’s act together with widgets. They’ve recently launched a Scouting Combine widget. If you remember the NFL launched a Super Bowl widget for the first time and now rolled it over to a Combine widget. My only suggestion would be to give different size options. The current sized is great for MySpace, Facebook, etc. but I think they would find a large group of bloggers...

Another sports social site, Fans Only launched →
CBS Sports launched, in an attempt to get into the ultra-popular user generated arena, a new sports social site, Fans Only, combining social networking with sports news.
I can’t help but ask… When will we get to the point there are too many social web sites? We have to be getting real close.
NFL, Univision partner with NFLatino.com →
Last year the NFL dismissed CBS SportsLine and brought NFL.com in-house. When it comes to Spanish content they choose to partner over the in-house approach the NFL has recently taken. According to a NFL press release they will partner with Univision to produce a Spanish language official NFL site, NFLatino.com. Press release below.
